Ian Williams 311 Asbury Park Poster World Premiere Exclusive

Many people feel Asbury Park is the epicenter of New Jersey music since Bruce Springsteen started playing at the Stone Pony and other venues in the area. Tonight 311 will add to the long list of musical history as they play at the Stone Pony Summerstage.

Ian Williams designed the poster for the concert tonight with the history of Asbury Park in mind as well:
When I was researching Asbury Park I came across Madam Marie who was a fortune teller on the Asbury Park boardwalk. She was the longest running tenant of the boardwalk and quasi-famous being mentioned in the Bruce Springsteen song, 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy). The image isn't based on Madam Marie directly but I think that there's a certain amount of mysticism and transcendence in 311's lyrics that fit well with the imagery of the fortune teller and a fun way to pay tribute to a staple of the Asbury Park community.

The regular edition poster is a 5 color screen print that also glows in the dark and is numbered out of 211.  There will also be 25 foil variants available at the Merch stand tonight.
