This July, Classic Game Fest — the biggest retro video game convention in Texas — will be back in Austin, and Guzu Gallery's art opening on the 24th will serve as the official pre-party to the event. What better time for the gallery to host their first video game themed art exhibition! Thirty artists will pay tribute to their favorite video game icons. Heroes and villains from all eras of gaming will adorn the gallery walls.
The opening reception will be on Friday, July 24th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain on display through August 31st. Limited edition prints and original artwork will be available for purchase. There will be a live performance by Texas chiptune maestro, The Mysterious H, and Atarimatt will be working his 8-bit musical magic on two modified Atari 2600 game systems! Complimentary beverages will be provided by South Austin Brewery on opening night. Admission is free and all ages are welcome!
Guzu Gallery welcomes everyone to the show, but if you can't make it out, the artwork will be available for purchase in their online store on Monday, July 27th around Noon CST.
