Cope2 has teamed up with photographer Monica Alonso for different kind of print titled Photograff and released by 1xRUN.
"This print which is part of our collaboration project "Photograff" is a combination of traditional film photography and traditional graffiti. There is a lot of history behind the two and the idea was to bring both worlds together and put in as much manual labor as possible. Every single step that was put into making this piece is a manual process, there was no digital technology implemented in the original piece. I only shoot on film and this photo was shot with 120mm (medium format) Kodak 400 tmax film and the camera used was a Mamiya c330. I then personally develop the film and make the final darkroom prints. The photo is never filtered or retouched. Once this is done cope paints his work and art on to the photo which then becomes not only an original piece of work, but a collaboration as well. Choosing the subject matter is another important step that ties everything together for this photo in particular. I shot trains that were sitting in the concourse yard in NY. Trains to me are pretty timeless, they tell a story of a point in time especially in the graffiti world." - Monica AlonsoThe print is 18 x 18 inch Archival Pigment Print on 290gsm Moab Rag Fine Art Paper with an edition of 50.
