On May 24th, Inner State Gallery (the gallery run by 1xRUN) will open it’s doors for Detroit artist Ron Zakrin, as he showcases his latest body of work “Beauty & The Beats”. This entirely new collection of work is inspired by electronic music in celebration of this year’s Movement Festival! They are also excited to reveal that Ron Zakrin has been chosen to create the Official 2013 Art Print for Movement 2013!
“For this year's Movement print I wanted to create this simplified human form,rather than a detailed approach where I usually will flesh out all the details of the faces and anatomy. In this case I wanted to keep a more mysterious faceless figure, so that the crowd is one entity rather than a group of individual faces. The only real details I added in terms of anatomy were the ears, since that is the most important part where music is concerned. Any fans of the festival will notice the Dodge Fountain in Hart Plaza as the centerpiece of this painting.” - Ron Zakrin
This Timed Edition RUN will be available from May 14th at 12pm to May 31st at 3pm at which time the edition will be closed forever.
