ONE-EYED WILLIE. Not much is known about the life and career of the man known as One-Eyed Willie, but the fact that he was somehow able to navigate his ship Inferno into a cave off the coast of Oregon is an impressive enough feat, THANK YOU--JASON

I am particularly fond of two ship captain's - The first is Captain William Bligh who sailed the South Pacific and is famous for "Mutiny on the Bounty" - He is a distant relative and my mother is actually named Bligh :)

The second is Admiral Raphael Semmes - He was a commander in the US Navy, a general and an admiral in the Confederate States Army and Navy respectively - He captained the CSS Alabama on 65 successful raids during the civil war - There is a statue of him here in my hometown of Mobile, Alabama that I have admired since childhood - He is perhaps the greatest American 'pirate' :)

My favorite pirate would have to be John Rackham, better known as Calico Jack. He was a pirate who was around during the end of the 'Golden Age of Piracy" and was known for designing and flying his Jolly Roger, one of the first skull & crossbones flag that we are familiar with today. Aaargghh!!

    Thanks, Brian Weber
